Device Inventory & Shift-Pattern Audit
Call or schedule online. We walk through your device inventory, shift structure, and warehouse layout — tracking which units go missing, which chargers walk off, and where your monthly $400 replacement budget goes.
You leave the first call with a baseline ROI model keyed to your current scanner-replacement spend.
Locker Design & WMS/MDM Integration
Your dedicated project manager designs a tailored SmartVault® configuration with the right mix of 4", 8", and 12" cells for your Zebra TC52/TC72, Honeywell CT45, tablets, and radios — with power & network wired to every cell.
We integrate with SAP EWM, Manhattan WMS, Blue Yonder, or your existing WMS plus MDM platforms like AirWatch or Workspace ONE.

Our team installs the SmartVault®, connects it to your network and SmartHub® platform, and tests every cell, ID reader, and reporting function — most single-location deployments complete in one to two days.
We deliver on-site training for your warehouse leads and IT team, covering check-out, return, issue reporting, and admin tools.
Asset Recovery Analytics & Restock Optimization
You receive continuous technical support backed by our lifetime warranty — no service contracts, no hidden fees, on-site repair included.
Each month, we deliver utilization reports showing device-recovery rates, shift-by-shift usage, and "ghost scanner" counts — ready for your ops director's review.
CLIENTS TRUST US
IVM SmartVault® systems are deployed in the warehouses and fulfillment centers of Fortune 500 manufacturers, retailers, and logistics operators — anywhere scanner and device accountability drives shift performance.
WHY IVM FOR WAREHOUSE DEVICE MANAGEMENT
IVM has served organizations since 1993, delivering patented SmartSolutions that combine custom hardware with sophisticated software. SmartVault® pairs intelligent lockers with real-time SmartHub® inventory software — all backed by a lifetime warranty and American manufacturing.
Built-In Power & Network
Every SmartVault® cell is wired with power and network connectivity, so scanners, tablets, and handheld devices charge and receive configuration updates while stored. Workers grab a fully-charged, properly-provisioned device on every check-out — no morning scramble.
User Segmentation & Access Control
Works with your existing employee ID system to ensure only trained and authorized users can access specialized or high-value equipment. Every check-out and return is logged to a specific user and timestamped — full accountability, zero paperwork.
Instant Issue Reporting
Employees log malfunctions directly at the locker when returning a faulty scanner. The system alerts IT or maintenance in real time, flags the device, and locks it from future check-outs until repaired — getting devices back in service quicker.
SmartHub® Real-Time Visibility
Our SmartHub® inventory platform integrates seamlessly with SmartVault® for real-time reporting, utilization analytics, and data-driven insights. Know every device's status, location, and user history at any moment — backed by a lifetime warranty and American manufacturing.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What kinds of devices and equipment can SmartVault® store?
SmartVault® is purpose-built for handheld scanners, tablets, two-way radios, mobile printers, RF guns, ring scanners, and other high-value warehouse devices. Three cell sizes (4", 8", and 12" tall × 5.25" × 15") accommodate everything from small form-factor scanners to ruggedized tablets and radios with holsters.
The same unit can mix cell sizes in a single deployment, so one locker handles your full device mix per shift.
Do the lockers actually charge devices while they're stored?
Yes — every cell is wired with power and network connectivity. Devices charge and receive firmware or MDM configuration updates while they sit in the locker between shifts. Workers grab a fully-charged, provisioned device on every check-out.
This eliminates the "who forgot to plug in the scanners last night" problem that stalls throughput at shift change.
How does user access and accountability work?
SmartVault® works with your existing employee ID system — HID prox, iCLASS, MIFARE, barcode, or PIN codes. User profiles define exactly which devices a given role, shift, or contractor can check out, and how many at once.
Every check-out and return is logged to a specific user and timestamped, giving you a complete accountability trail without any paperwork.
What happens when an employee returns a broken scanner?
The Instant Issue Reporting feature lets the employee log the malfunction directly at the locker during return. The system immediately notifies IT or maintenance, flags the device, and locks it from future check-outs until it's repaired.
No more faulty devices in circulation. No more "this one's been broken for a week" complaints. Scanners get back in service measurably faster.
Will it talk to our WMS (SAP EWM / Manhattan / Blue Yonder)?
Yes. SmartVault® integrates via API and webhook connections with SAP EWM, Manhattan WMS, Blue Yonder JDA, Körber HighJump, and Oracle WMS Cloud. Device assignments sync to your WMS in real time — no double-entry, no shadow spreadsheets.
Your IVM project manager coordinates directly with your IT team during implementation to lock down the integration before go-live.
How do we know which shift broke the scanner?
Every check-out and return is logged to a specific user, badge, and timestamp. If a scanner comes back damaged, SmartVault® prompts the employee to log the malfunction at the locker — capturing exactly who had it, when they took it, and what they reported.
The "found broken in the chute" argument ends. Your shift supervisors have the data to hold the right people accountable.
What happens when an associate forgets to return at end-of-shift?
SmartVault® flags the unreturned device in real time. The system can notify the shift supervisor immediately via email or Slack, or hold the user's badge until the device is returned on the next shift.
Overnight "walkers" drop to near-zero. Everyone knows the locker tracks who walks off with company property.
How do we model ROI against our current $400/month scanner replacement budget?
Most warehouse sites see payback within 8–12 months. ROI comes from three compounding sources: (1) 60–90% reduction in lost or misplaced devices, (2) labor hours recovered from morning device prep and end-of-shift reconciliation, and (3) throughput gains from always-charged, always-configured devices.
We build a site-specific ROI model during your consultation keyed to your actual replacement spend — so your ops director sees real numbers.
How does SmartHub® integrate with our existing systems?
SmartHub® provides API and webhook integrations with SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, ServiceNow, Zendesk, and most major WMS, MDM, and help-desk platforms. Device check-outs, reorder points, and issue tickets flow bidirectionally.
If you'd rather run it standalone, SmartHub® is a full device-management and reporting system on its own — no outside integration required.
What's the deployment timeline?
Standard single-site deployments run 4–6 weeks from consultation to live check-outs. Multi-site rollouts follow a phased schedule we tune to your operations calendar. Because SmartVault® supports either hardwired network or cellular connectivity, we rarely wait on IT approvals.
Urgent deployments (new DC stand-up, peak-season prep, recovery from a device-inventory crisis) can be expedited based on equipment availability.
